Terms of Use

Last updated: 4 July 2026

1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Use (the "Terms") form a legal agreement between you and Deenly ("we", "us", "our") and govern your download and use of the Deenly application (the "App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Licence

We grant you a personal, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable, revocable licence to use the App on any Apple‑branded device that you own or control, as permitted by the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. This licence is for your personal, non‑commercial use only.

3. Religious content

Deenly provides prayer times, Qibla direction, Quran text and audio, duas, adhkar, the Hijri date, and related Islamic content for your convenience. We take great care to present authentic material, but this content is provided for general reference only. Prayer times and the Qibla are calculated estimates that depend on your device's location, sensors, and the calculation method you choose. For matters of religious obligation, please verify with your local mosque or a qualified scholar.

4. Mosque directory & user submissions

Mosque information is compiled from public and community sources and may be incomplete or out of date. If you submit a new mosque or a correction, you confirm that the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge, that you have the right to share it, and that it contains no unlawful, offensive, or private personal content. You grant us a non‑exclusive, royalty‑free, worldwide licence to use, review, edit, and publish your submission within the App and directory. We may accept, reject, or edit any submission at our discretion.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App, except where permitted by law;
  • Copy, redistribute, or resell the App or its content;
  • Use the App to submit false, misleading, unlawful, or abusive content;
  • Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the App or its supporting services;
  • Use the App in any way that violates applicable laws or the rights of others.

6. Intellectual property

The App, its design, and its original content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Quran text, recitations, and certain reference materials remain the property of their respective sources and are provided under their applicable terms. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of any intellectual property to you.

7. Third‑party services

The App relies on third‑party services — such as maps, location lookup, and Quran audio — to deliver certain features. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content, availability, or practices of third‑party services.

8. No warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error‑free, or that prayer times, Qibla direction, or other information will be free of inaccuracies.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

10. Cost

Deenly is provided free of charge. There are no in‑app purchases, subscriptions, or advertisements. Standard data charges from your mobile carrier may apply when the App uses the internet.

11. Apple‑required terms

These Terms are between you and us only, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the App. Apple and its subsidiaries are third‑party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
